Updates on Celestial Deskmat - May 7th 2021

After awaiting its months-long delivery, the Celestial deskmats are finally here. While we're very delighted with how the Light version turns out, we can't say the same for the Dark mats.

Simply put, the Dark mats were supposed to have a deep true black background, and on the ones that we received, the black was more faded than how it was depicted in renders. Please see pic below where we compare the Dark Celestial next to a Red Devil deskmat.

We're unsure what went wrong with the initial color-matching process. This problem was spotted when our Asian vendors received their shipments, and the decision was quickly made that we re-manufacture the Dark mats as soon as possible. Color-matching issues continue to come up (please see the pics below for 1st and 2nd attempts) and we are currently awaiting a 3rd attempt.

So, what to expect?

The designer is expected to receive the samples by some time next week. As soon as she approves, re-production will start and take approximately 1 month. It'll then take another 3-4 weeks to reach us in the US.

As for the Dark mats we have right now, they will be available for sale as B-stock at the same time as the extra sales.

As of this point, we will begin shipping all the Light deskmat, starting this Monday May 10th. As a token of our apology for this unprecedented delay, we will offer all the customers that have purchased the Dark mat a $10 gift card, or an option to cancel this GB order if they would like. Please kindly allow the next few days for our emails to reach you.
