Overall I quite like this keyboard. However, there are a number of drawbacks that I would like to mention.

Of course, likely as a result of the budget price, the keyboard case is a bit flimsy. Additionally, the screws (under the keycaps) state that the warranty is voided upon removal - obviously anybody who purchases such a keyboard is likely to want to modify the keyboard.

The URL in the manual for the documentation for the keyboard is broken and I cannot find the documentation. It would appear that the company responsible for this site are no longer maintaining it.

For these reasons, I am leaving a three start review.

Additionally, I should ad the caveat that I paid 100 USD for this keyboard, and not the full listed price. Had I paid the full price I would be upset.

Great board overall for quality of keycaps, simple pc plate, cherry stabs and switches. no flex cuts so you get a full sound

Bought this keyboard for my wife and she loves it thank you Mekibo!

This keyboard is very nice to type on, and I like the accent keys and surface texture of the keycaps. The only issue is that the spacebar won't bottom out on the left or right side, and only actuates in the center of the spacebar. Otherwise, fantastic keyboard.

Package was super clean, stunning and organized. The keyboard itself is beautiful with no issues. It also came fully assembled and meets my expectations and then some. Fully recommend this to newer keyboard enthusiasts!

Pretty wonderful right out the box! Great quality and looks exactly like the pictures.

This keyboard is great, except for one small thing: I'd like the option for a non-stepped caps-lock key cap. The reason is that I swap Control and Caps-Lock because of Emacs, and my left pinky is always "on" the former caps-lock key. The step is uncomfortable and in-the-way for this use case. Replacement key caps without the step are VERY hard to find because the stem underneath on the bottom inside the key cap is offset from center, and every caps-lock key I have found has the stem underneat on the bottom inside IN the center, not offset. I tried filling in the step with Sugru, but it's weird and uncomfortable. I'd like the Monokei company to offer such key caps.

Right out of the gate, this keyboard is exactly what you're looking for; it is a productivity beast.

Monokei put all of their skill into making this the best "budget" hot swap board they could. There no need to open the case and mod till Kingdom Come, you just simply lube the stock switches (if you like) and lube the stabilizers with a syringe/brush.

Out of the box, the clean lines, and simplistic nature of the board caused me to take pause; what really matters is in this keyboard. Made of high quality ABS plastic, the case is clleeeeeaaaan. The keycaps pair perfectly and they include accent keys for each case color which match perfectly with others in case you want to mix and match (I have the Suave Blue case and used the pink accents; *chef's kiss*).

In the coming days this would become my daily driver. It feels good, it looks good; it's just GOOD. Not to mention I had been waiting around for the Suave Blue, then after emailing Mekibo support, they pulled an extra out of the warehouse and it was on its way to me within days.

Mekibo has shown itself to be a high quality, customer oriented business which made receiving the Monokei Standard that much better. I honestly would keep buying these just to give to others to experience. Buy with confidence. It's time for a new Standard :)

I loved the keyboard. The package was carefully delivered with no problems at all.

Space bar is a little loose, I would expect a little more for this price.

If it weren’t for the fact that I love building keyboards, I would never need another keyboard than this.
